For our Habitat line, we've partnered with the Toucan Rescue Ranch (TRR), whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native Costa Rican animals. To honor the sloth's importance to the ecosystem, we chose coffee from the world-famous Tarrazú region. • The coffee is packaged immediately after roasting and grinding to ensure optimal freshness. Carbon dioxide is released during the roasting process, which can last up to three days. Therefore, the three-layer packaging includes a one-sided freshness valve, allowing the gases to escape while protecting the coffee from sunlight and oxygen.
